An incredibly steep (and quite long) flight of stone steps descends the cliffside to St Govan's Chapel. Legend says that counting the number of steps isn't possible. There are about 52 of them. To reach the rocky foreshore below it's necessary to walk through the chapel which is a simple but solid stone building.
