Lower Town is the original harbour at Fishguard, Pembrokeshire. Alongside runs Quay Street, a row of fisherment's cottages. The River Gwaun, which runs down from the Preseli Hills, meets the sea at Lower Town and it is this which gives the town its Welsh name, Abergwaun - mouth of the River Gwaun.
