The Taff Trail, described as a 'multi purpose' route, meaning that it can be used by cyclists, horses and those on foot, runs 55 miles from Cardiff Bay to Brecon, passing through Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil before crossing the Brecon Beacons at Torpantau, then descending into the Usk Valley, meeting the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at the bridge shown here, and running along the towpath between Talybont-on-Usk and Brecon. Here a narrowboat heading towards Brecon passes under the bridge which is behind the White Hart Inn.
