Just 18 miles long and less than 8 miles wide the area has nearly 400 miles of public rights of way and 23 nature reserves. Whether you simply want to relax and enjoy the scenery, partake in extreme sports such as paragliding and coasteering or try out one of the many water sports on offer, there really is something for everyone.

The accommodation

With over 260 self catering properties to choose from why not let the Home from Home Holiday Cottages team help you to find a property to suit your needs.

Our area

There are quiet beaches with miles of golden sand, smaller sandy coves with rock pools, and coastal path walks with breathtaking scenery. There's also a good selection of beaches such as Caswell, Oxwich and Port Eynon with easy access making them ideal for families.

If you want to be closer to everyday life then why not try the village of Mumbles? At the gateway to Gower, Mumbles hosts a selection of top class restaurants, friendly cafes and bistros, boutiques and gift shops - not forgetting the two ice cream parlours of Joe's and Verdi's. Mumbles is within walking distance of two lovely beaches, Langland Bay, renowned for its green and white painted beach huts, and Rotherslade, a small sandy cove popular with swimmers.

The promenade runs all the way from Mumbles Pier to the Marina in Swansea, a stretch of approximately five miles. Half way along is the Lido a safe haven for children to play and a pitstop for snacks, light meals and refreshments. The Marina offers the best of both worlds: the attractions of a vibrant city right on your doorstep combined with the tranquility of a waterfront location and the fun of a beach resort.

There's restaurants and cafes galore, museums, galleries and theatre and a host of other attractions to keep the whole family occupied.
