Gorse Cottage is a delightful base for a wonderful holiday in Broadhaven, Pembrokeshire. Whether you want to play on some of the best and cleanest beaches in Britain, walk the stunning coastal path, ride horses on the beach, visit inspiring towns and villages or entertain a young family, you are ideally placed.

Nestled by the sandy beach of Broad Haven, you will be just 300 paces from the sea-front, the village centre and coastal path. Shops, pubs and a restaurant are all close at hand and at low tide you can stroll along the beach to the quaint village of Little Haven.

Accommodation

Kitchen/diner; Equipped to the highest standard, oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, radio/ipod and washer drier. Whether you want to cook great meals or just make breakfast, you will find all you need.

Lounge; Comfortably and stylishly furnished with modern overtones, the open plan living space is well appointed with partial sea views from the window seat. A comfortable double sofa-bed and generous club chairs help you to relax whilst watching the TV.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 contains a king size bed and plenty of storage; bedroom two contains twin beds and a wardrobe. All linen provided and changed weekly.

Bathroom: Modern and decorated to a high standard. There is a bath with a high powered electric shower, shaving point, a wall mounted extractor fan and heated towel rail. Refurbished recently, very up to date.

Hallway; There is a drying cupboard for wet clothes and boots and an information board.

The cottage is warm and cosy. It is heated by storage heaters and instant fan and bedroom heaters. It includes a high chair and cot (please bring linen for cot).

Outside a pretty patio area gives space to relax and enjoy a barbecue on long summer evenings. A shed is available for storage of beach toys and other equipment.

There are four parking spaces, one at the front and three at the rear. A gently sloped path leads into the cottage form the rear parking spaces. Inside there are no steps and the open plan living area allows single point supervision of children.

Well behaved pets are welcome, although we ask you not to let them sleep on the furniture or beds. We ask you not to smoke in the property.

Accessibility

Gorse cottage is easily accessible. From three level parking spaces at rear a path runs down to a ramp into the house, with no steps. There are no steps inside the house.

Local Area

Pembrokeshire is a beautiful county with many ways to enjoy your time here. Walkers can travel to the entire stunning coastal path within half an hour. The Puffin bus travels regularly along the coastal roads.

All the water sports are available locally including some of the very best surf beaches. Tuition is easy to access. Sea-cliff climbing is available, there are many golf courses and Dive Pembrokeshire is within walking distance. Horse riders come from all over the country to the local stables to ride the beaches. This is just the place for people who want to be active and those who simply want to chill.

Spend your days exploring the historic city of St David's or the art galleries of Porthgain and the surrounding villages.

The breathtaking coast is wonderful in all weathers and summer visitors can enjoy boat rides to see Puffins and Seals on the islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Ramsey.

The beaches are clean, safe and beautiful and with great family days out at Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park, there really is something for everyone.

Pembrokeshire attractions

For families there are is Oakwood Theme Park and Blue Lagoon Water Park near by as well as many other smaller parks. There is a new swimming pool in Haverfordwest. TYF in St David's run courses in almost all water and coastal activities including climbing, coasteering, canoeing, surfing, wind surfing. There are a number of horse riding centres, including one at Nolton which allows you to ride on the local beach. There historic towns to visit and all kinds of local shopping venues. There area is becoming very well known for artists and includes dozens of local art galleries.

Eating out

In the village there are two pubs, a restaurant and a cafe. Within walking distance is the village of Little Haven where there are more pubs and restaurants. Whether you want a cheap but really good fish and chips or a cordon bleu meal, you can get what you want nearby.

Prices include cleaning and heating. There are no hidden extras.

Letting is from 3.00pm on the Saturday of arrival to 10.00am on the Saturday of departure. Weekend breaks available on request.
