Seen from the grounds of the castle, Aberystwyth's rather ungainly pier stands at the southern end of the beach. Above the northern end of the prom, Constitution Hill is a natural vantage point with views on a clear day a far as Dinas Head to the south and the Llyn Peninsula to the north.
