Looking across the Aberystwyth seafront from the castle. It's January so the mini golf course isn't open. On the right are some of the University of Wales Buildings, which stand opposite the Pier. Beyond that is the promenade, Marine Terrace, and beach, overlooked by Constitution Hill, a great vantage point for the West Wales coastline, with views north to Cader Idris and the Llyn Peninsula, inland across Plynlimon and the Cambrian Hills, and south to Aberaeron. The Cliff Railway [not open all year round] is one way of ascending Constitution Hill, and there's also a footpath for those who are feeling energetic.
