Glyn Isa Country House
- Conwy Bed and Breakfast
- Sleeps 1 to 8, 4 bedrooms
- £65 to £110 per night
Glyn Isa Country House bed and breakfast dates back to 1626 and is one of the oldest houses in the area. We offer a comfortable bed and a hearty breakfast to travellers wishing to explore the beautiful area of North Wales and Snowdonia National Park.
All our lovely rooms have been carefully restored and retain much of the historic character befitting a house of nearly 400 years. Each bedroom has a king size bed with excellent quality mattress, lovely en-suite shower room with toiletries, flat screen TV with free to air satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Irons available on request.
Glyn Isa is just 4 miles from medieval Conwy and 1 mile from the award winning village of Rowen, where you will find the local pub the Ty Gwyn. We are next to the Dutch Pancake House and Conwy Water Gardens and 1 mile from the oldest licensed house in North Wales, The Groes Inn.
We offer a guest lounge in the evenings with roaring wood burner where guests can relax after a hard days sight seeing. We respectfully ask that you vacate the house during the day between 11 am and around 4pm weather permitting of course.
We serve a full Welsh cooked breakfast each day which will make sure that your day gets off to the best start. Apart from our lovely local pubs there are plenty of eateries in Conwy itself and more in Llandudno which is just a 10 minute drive.
We do not have a good mobile/cell phone signal as we are in the mountains. WiFi is available in all rooms and in the public rooms.Guest Lounge and Breakfast Room.however it is very slow.
We do strongly advise that you have a car as public transport is non existent and taxis are extremely expensive. That way, you will get to see much more of the area as we are in the middle of the countryside, so are best suited to guests wishing to walk or see the many historic attractions in the area.
Places you must see on your trip include Bodnant Gardens, Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd, which are all National Trust. Mount Snowdon, Conwy Castle, Plas Mawr, the Smallest House and Aberconwy House in Conwy, Beaumaris Castle on Anglesey (Ynys Mon), Caernarfon Castle, Betws-y-Coed, Swallow Falls, Surf Snowdonia, Go Below , Bounce Below, Zip World, Llandudno toboggans, the Great Orme and it's mines, Plas Cadnant, the Hidden Gardens on Anglesey.and more. This is a walkers paradise and we have many suggestions on walks to take whether you want to walk gently or have more of a challenge.
A very warm welcome from all of our family awaits you in our charming and very peaceful home. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.
