Pet-friendly self catering farmhouse, sleeps 7, in the Snowdonia National Park.

This period farmhouse dates back to 1592, and was the home of a local bard who was the present owner's Grandfather. Set in a quiet position in the hills above Harlech and its historic castle, sandy beaches, which is a mile and a half away, the house is reached via a 300 metre road off a country lane and cycle path which leads to the Roman Steps walk at Cwm Bychan and Cwm Nantcol valley with its waterfalls and magnificent scenery for walking or cycling.

It is within easy reach of Portmeirion, Porthmadog, Barmouth and many other places to visit.

The owner lives in an annexe at the side which is private and there is a pond for watching the several birds and wildlife who visit frequently (20 yards). There are also several other lakes in the area. Shops and pubs one and a half miles. Private garden and furniture for outdoor dining and picnic bench near the pond and parking area.

The accommodation

On the ground floor, a lounge/dining room/kitchen with fridge-freezer, microwave, electric cooker with hob, washing machine, and dish washer.

On the first floor are three bedrooms - a double, a twin, a single - and the bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and wash basin.

On the second floor is a twin bedroom, and a shower cubicle with toilet and wash basin.

Television, dvd player, books and games, wifi.

Private garden and outdoor furniture for outdoor dining, and picnic bench near the pond and parking area.

Bed linen is included. Please bring your own towels and travel cot/high chair for babies.

Notes

Groups of 6/7 max. One is a double bed. Sorry, no stag and hen parties. Discounts sometimes available out of season.

Unfortunately the house might not be suitable for people with wheelchairs due to path and steps leading to the property.

Arrival from 4pm, departure by 10am. prompt.

No smoking in the house, but welcome outside of property in the garden (bucket provided).

One dog is free of charge and a second dog is charged at £20 extra on request with the owner. We have one cat called Tomos. Please bring bedding or cage for your dog who is allowed downstairs only. Please bring your own travel cot/high chair for babies.

April/May/June and September are quieter times with 4 night short breaks available with flexible changeover days or you can stay for one week or longer on request with Owner. July and August are weekly bookings only with Saturday changeover unless there are any gaps. Please check with Owner.
