Our beautiful rural retreat is situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and surrounded by must see places of interest such as Portmeirion,Zip World, Harlech Castle and the Ffestiniog Railway.
The cottage is perfect for groups and families looking to explore North Wales. With 3 very large bedrooms which can sleep a family, the 2 biggest rooms have 1 Super King Size & 1 King Size bed, the other 1 x King Size Bed and 2 singles and every bedroom can fit an additional travel cot. Bedroom 3 has a King Size bed and cot. 1 travel cot is available at the property for use, but feel free to bring any more if required.
Bedroom 1 also has an en-suite bathroom with full suite and corner bath. The perfect place for a relaxing soak after a day sightseeing.
The lounge area is very spacious too and along with your Smart TV and Blu Ray player has a Karaoke machine for fun on rainy days. Also available is a stack of DVD's a fab and fun movie night. Just sit back and relax on the huge corner sofa.

Maentwrog is well-connected and easy to reach, whether you're traveling by car or public transport. Car advised as the house is up a hill!
By Car: If you're driving, Maentwrog is accessible via the A487, which connects to major roads like the A470 and A5. From the north, take the A55 and then the A5 towards Betws-y-Coed, before joining the A470 south. From the south, take the A470 north through Dolgellau. Once in Maentwrog, follow local signs to the property. The journey from major cities like Manchester or Liverpool takes around 2-3 hours, while it's about 4-5 hours from London.
By Train: The nearest train station is in Blaenau Ffestiniog, approximately 10 minutes away by car. From here, you can catch a taxi to the property or, if you prefer, enjoy a 4-5 mile scenic walk through the beautiful countryside. Trains connect Blaenau Ffestiniog to larger hubs like Llandudno Junction, where you can transfer to trains to and from major cities across the UK.
By Bus: Regular bus services run to Maentwrog from nearby towns like Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog. The bus stop in the village is just a short walk from the property, making it a convenient option if you prefer not to drive. Please note: The house is up a rather steep hill therefore we would advise driving.
Parking: The holiday home offers convenient on-site parking for guests. The property has a private driveway with space for up to 5 vehicles, ensuring that you can park right next to the house with ease. The driveway is easily accessible from the main road and is suitable for vehicles of most sizes.
