Twll y Cae is a traditional, detached, single-storey holiday cottage near Criccieth which has been extended to provide comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to 5 people. Up to 2 dogs are welcome by arrangement. The cottage is on a quiet lane yet in a convenient position for Criccieth and Porthmadog.

The accommodation

All the accommodation is on the ground floor and there are two doubles and a single bedroom. There are two bathrooms (one with a bath and one with a shower). The kitchen and sitting room overlook the garden. The cottage has a private enclosed cottage garden with lawn area, patio with table and chairs and a sunny aspect. Dogs accepted by arrangement. Suitable for all age groups- relax by the open fire in winter or in the cottage garden in summer!

The location

The cottage is on a quiet lane in Pentrefelin just off the A497, with off road parking for up to 2 cars. There are walks from the door along the old drovers' road or down through farmland to the old church of Ynyscynhaearn. The beaches at Criccieth, Black Rock Sands and Borth y Gest are close by.

Our area

Criccieth with its castle, two beaches and the All Wales coastal path is 2 miles away. Porthmadog and the terminus for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways is 3 miles away. The Italianate village at Portmeirion, Caernarfon castle, all the attractions of Snowdonia, Harlech and the Llyn Peninsula are within easy reach. There is a choice of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs within 2-3 miles and most facilities are to be found nearby in Porthmadog and Criccieth. Several beaches including Criccieth, Black Rock Sands and Borth y Gest are close by.

Twll y Cae is on a quiet lane in Pentrefelin off the A497 between Porthmadog and Criccieth. The main line railway station to Birmingham is 3 miles away and local buses pass along the main road a few minutes walk from the cottage.
