The location

We are situated in a beautiful location in North Pembrokeshire, 3 miles from the historic market town of Cardigan in West Wales. We are near the coast, a short distance from the award winning beach at Poppit Sands, the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Cardigan Bay for dolphin watching and the spectacular Preseli Hills. Three National Parks can be visited from here.

This area of Wales offers a wide variety of scenery and attractions including many sandy beaches and coves - where seals and dolphins are seen regularly, coastal and inland walking, bird watching, fishing, crafts, activities such as horse riding, golf, canoeing, boat trips etc.

Our area

Just three miles away is the glorious sandy beach, Poppit Sands, which has won a prestigious Seaside Beach Award. The National Trust beach at Penbryn is also not far away, where you can relax on the sand while the children hunt amongst the rock pools, for giant crabs or search the caves for pirate treasure. And not forgetting the beautiful cove at Mwnt (also belonging to the National Trust) which has also won a Seaside Beach Award and is a favourite stop for our resident school of dolphins.

Dolphins have been sighted regularly and is the highlight of many a holiday. They can be seen from the shore or take a specialised boat trip out to sea and see them close up.

Craft workshops and art galleries abound in Pembrokeshire, while for those who enjoy a bit of activity try the 18 hole golf course at Gwbert on sea or pony trekking and lessons four miles away in Bridell. Our local outdoor Activity Centre offers our guests a 10% discount.

For a day out try Picton castle in Haverforwest, or the National Trust gardens at Colby (near Tenby) which are fabulous right through to the end of Autumn. Or maybe you just want to relax on the garden in front of your cottage with a glass of wine. Your children will love meeting Yorkie and Galaxy, our adorable Shetland ponies and will enjoy our "bunny cuddling" time and feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs.
