An idyllic setting by moor and mountains in the heart of the bluestone country. Beautifully converted cottages in a magical setting - with a gate from the gardens onto the moor with sheep, wild ponies and an ancient stone circle. Ideal for walkers and nature lovers. Watch red kites flying the skies, hear the skylarks sing, star gaze the night sky.

We also offer pottery tuition. Anna has a pottery workshop in the gardens and guests are welcome to make some pots as part of their holiday.

The accommodation

Trallwyn Cowshed sleeps 5 - This beautifully converted farm building is full of character and charm with thick curvy stone walls and beams. It has been lovingly restored by local craftsmen inspired by the architectural ideas of Rudolf Steiner.

Downstairs is open plan with oak flooring. The kitchen has a Rayburn, gas hob and electric oven and fitted kitchen. There is a pine dining area and the living room has two settees and a wood burning stove. It has a double bedroom, a twin bedded galleried bedroom and a single sleeping loft. Outside there is a small pond to the front (mostly fenced) and table chairs and bench. £350 to £890 per week.

Trallwyn Farmhouse - Sleeps 6: The three hundred year old Trallwyn Farmhouse is truly beautiful, full of character and charm. It has been restored retaining many original features. Accommodation: Open plan kitchen diner with a gas hob, electric oven and fridge onto living room with woodstove in inglenook and internal seating as well as comfortable settees.

The bathroom overlooks the moor and has a bath with shower over, loo and basin. There is a washing machine and dryer. There are are three bedrooms - a double with cot and two twins. The farmhouse also has a conservatory overlooking the garden and outside garden furniture. £370 to £920 per week.

Trallwyn Cottage, sleeps 3, is ideal for a couple, single person or a small family. The living room has comfortable furniture, dining table and chairs as well as a woodstove. There are steep stairs going up to a double sleeping platform with limited headroom with a Velux window and view to the garden and mountains beyond. There is a separate kitchen with Belfast sink, electric cooker, fridge and washing machine. there is a small single bedroom. The bathroom has a bath sink and loo.

It is self contained though attached to the main Farmhouse. There is a Jotul the woodstove. Outside is a small garden area with seating. There is direct access to the moor with sheep and wild ponies. £280 to £520 per week.

Trallwyn Lodge - sleeps 5: has wonderful views beyond the garden to wild and natural moorland and mountains. It has an open plan kitchen-diner with beech floor, gas hob, electric oven, electric rayburn and fridge freezer, opening onto the living room with comfortable furniture and woodburning stove, and has three bedrooms all with beautiful views: one double bedroom, one small bedroom with bunk beds and a further twin bedroom (one of the beds sleeps a young child up to 5 years of age). There is a private garden with is direct access to the moor with sheep and wild ponies. £300 to £720 per week.

Trallwyn Bach - sleeps 2: is a small cottage studio attached to the main farmhouse, an ideal hideaway for a single person or a couple. There is a small living area with a big bed in a stone alcove with beautiful views out onto the moor with sheep and wild ponies grazing, a small kitchen area and a very small looplus shower room with limited emphasizing the smallness of this space, it has the usual charm associated with accomodation at Trallwyn having curvy stone walls, a king sized mattress in a stone alcove, and a small woodstove to get really cosy, Velux roof windows making it light and airy, and French doors onto a small patio area. £240 to £390 per week.

Trallwyn Yurt is a beautiful handcrafted Mongolian yurt. A perfect private setting, the yurt is an inexpensive holiday - camping in style. Ideal for a couple or up to 4 people. There is a double futon and two single futons, a woodstove and a separate area close by for cooking with fridge and sink shower and loo. From £280 to £390 pw for 2 people Extra guests are £5 per night each.

Trallwyn Moorshed Groups Room is a right on the edge of the moor in a most beautiful setting. It is not a it is the most low cost way to stay at Trallwyn. It has, like the Yurt, futon and seat beds and is spacious and light. As with the Yurt it has a small simple kitchen close by and a loo plus shower also close by. It is our overflow accommodation when the cottages are full or when people just want to stay 2 or 3 nights it usually works out to be cheaper. The price is £25 per night per person plus £20 for a second guest. The only week it is a little more expensive is bank holiday weekends. It is available from Easter to end of October, only when no group activities are taking place - please check with Anna.

Trallwyn Bell Tent available for the Whitsun week and Summer holidays until mid September, a glorious view to Carn Meini mountain (source of the bluestones for stonehenge) from your door. A simple setup with airbeds and seating and an outside firebowl for cooking. There is a tap in the field and use of the loo and shower in the pottery building close by. From £45 a night for 2 people.

Trallwyn at St Dogmaels Estuary side Cottage magic water view available all year. Stunning estuary side location with great cottage with original range fire and all you need for a relaxing holiday within walking distance of Poppit sands. Two double bedrooms sleeps 4. Open plan lounge diner and kitchen with stunning views. Patio garden and private decking overlooking river estuary price £390 to £750 pw.

The location

There is direct access to the moor with sheep and wild ponies. Gors Fawr stone circle, 5000 years old, is just 5 minutes walk from the cottages.
