Lower Lamphey Park is an elegant Georgian farmhouse in its own grounds far removed from the noise and hubbub of daily life.
Lower Lamphey Park is set in agricultural land about a quarter of a mile from the 'Ridgeway' road. We are surrounded by sheep, cattle and horses which creates a truly rural environment. Yet we are within walking distance of the village with a shop, pub and restaurants. We are just two miles from the historic town of Pembroke and five miles from the popular holiday resort of Tenby. We are close to fine sandy beaches, ancient castles and other historic sites, and a wide range of tourist and leisure facilities.
Lower Lamphey Park has approximately eight acres of its own land including our garden, paddocks and an old walled garden which is awaiting restoration. The garden provides space to walk and relax, with some shaded and secluded areas under the old oak trees.
The paddocks are home to a small flock of Jacob sheep. It also provides grazing for horses.
We welcome children and well behaved pets.
We welcome all guests including guests with special needs.
Car parking can be provided with easy access to the house and/or cottages. Access to the house is via four open steps (no handrails). All bedrooms are on the first floor. They are accessed via a wide Georgian staircase in two flights with gentle steps and a firm handrail.
Please discuss any special requirements with us and we will endeavour to meet them.
The nearest beach, Freshwater East, is three miles away, and Barafundle Bay - voted the finest beach in Britain - and Broad Haven are less than six miles away.
There is a good choice of places to eat in Lamphey village, about a mile from the house. Lamphey Court Hotel, a 'Best Western' hotel. Dial Inn, a good quality pub restaurant. Lamphey Hall Hotel, very attractive bistro-style restaurant. The Lantern, offering light meals throughout the day. We are happy to offer a 'taxi' service to/from the local restaurants.
Lamphey village also has a petrol station and Spar shop which is open daily from 7am to 9pm. The nearest supermarket is in Pembroke, 3 miles away. The farm shop at Milton, 2 miles, sells locally produced meat and vegetables.
