We are located within easy reach of all the attractions that this county has to offer including the National Botanic Garden, Aberglasney Gardens and the many castles and historical monuments that abound in this part of the world. We are also within easy reach of the temple at Skanda Vale for those people making a pilgrimage there.

We offer a high standard of self catering accommodation in a range of attractive converted farm buildings. We offer three delightful cottages set in the rolling countryside of north Carmarthenshire.

Accommodation

Our new property is a stunning conversion of our old stone barn. Downstairs you will find a superb open plan lounge/diner/kitchen with patio doors on two sides giving lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The lounge has comfortable leather sofas and chairs as well as a wood burning stove (we supply the logs) and satellite TV and DVD player.

The dining area looks out over the fields and has a 12 place dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range cooker, a large American style fridge freezer with drink dispenser and ice machine, a microwave, a toaster, a filter coffee maker and an espresso machine and built in dishwasher. There is ample storage and work space for keen chefs. Also downstairs we have a twin bedroom with en suite shower specially designed for wheelchair users. Upstairs you will find five delightful bedrooms (two twin rooms and three double rooms) two of which have en suite shower rooms. There is also a main bathroom with bath and shower.

Our other cottages are situated opposite Rhydins Fawr making it suitable for very large family gatherings or groups of friends to be close to each other.

Each cottage has two bedrooms with a double bed in one and two single beds in the other. On the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen and a living/dining area with TV/video and a log fire (logs provided free of charge), two armchairs and a sofa. In the kitchen area is a dining table with four chairs. To the rear of the cottage is a bathroom and shower with a separate toilet.

All cottages are equipped to a very high standard. All bed linen is supplied, so guests need only bring towels.

Outside is a large lawn with picnic tables and a barbecue.

For your comfort each cottage has central heating and log fires (the cost of which is included in the price in the cottage). The hot water is also supplemented by an electric shower making it a pleasure to relax after a long day out.

Rhydins Farm is a family-run business. Paul and Ionwen live on site in the main house and will be here to greet you and show you around when you arrive.

The farm is managed by Huw and at various times of the year you will find him busy around the place looking after the and adults usually find this fascinating and you will be welcome to join in with the activity if you wish.

Area information

Rhydins Farm is situated in the north of Carmarthenshie on the edge of the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian mountains. We are almost equidistant from the coast of Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire, with Pendine and New Quay being about an hour's drive. We are ideally located for visiting the many attractions that Carmarthenshire has to offer such as the National Botanical garden, Aberglasney gardens and the many castles and historical sites that can be found in this part of the world.

For keen walkers our property is next to the Crychan forest with its many forest trails. And no visit would be complete without seeing the beautiful Red Kites that inhabit this area.
