Pen-y-Bryn Farm faces south, and the view is that of Cardigan Bay and the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park. Even Snowdon itself can be seen to the North East.

The accommodation

Y Bwthyn is a single storey cottage has a lounge with dining area, a recently installed excellently equipped kitchen, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a twin bedded room with en suite shower room. There is also a conservatory where you can relax and dine.

It is set in its own enclosed garden with patio and car parking area.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with electric kettle, toaster, microwave, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, good saucepans and Portmeirion pottery. The bedrooms have duvets, and all beds are made up ready for our guests' arrival. There is a television with freeview and DVD player. Heating is by oil fired central heting. A barbecue and garden furniture are also provided to ensure that our guests enjoy their stay with us. The garden is enclosed which proves popular with parents of young children and pet owners.

Guests return year after year (sometimes twice a year) to unwind and enjoy beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

The location

Our farm is 2 miles west of Cricieth with its medieval castle and numerous eating places. Portmeirion is 10 miles away, Porthmadog is 6 miles away. To the west lies the Lleyn Peninsula with its interesting beaches and coves. We are within easy reach of the costal path and plenty of interesting walks. We have included plenty of suggestions for walks in the cottage.

Our area

Y Bwthyn enjoys the best of both worlds, being set on a 180 acre dairy farm and also within easy reach of all pleasures and attractions this beautiful part of Wales has to offer, from castles and narrow gauge railways to beaches, golf and fishing.

Guest comments

We enjoyed walking along the cycle path to Cricieth and having our breakfast at NO 46 in the High St.

We walked along the coastal path to Cricieth a few times.
