Cradoc Golf Club
Cradoc Golf Club is situated two miles north of Brecon. On the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, it has uninterrupted views of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains.
Founded in 1969 by two local men who hired veteran Scottish designer C.K. Cotton to plan the layout, Cradoc soon became the home of the Bass (formerly Welsh Brewers) Tournament of Champions, a tournament held annually for all Club Champions.
The 18 hole parkland course has well maintained greens and lush fairways. To get the terrific views of the Brecon Beacons and the verdant valleys below, it will take a climb up to the 7th tee, which is well worth the challenge.
The modern clubhouse, built in 1979, provides well appointed changing rooms and shower facilities. The comfortable lounge includes a well stocked bar with a good variety of beers and wines. There is a snooker table for use by members and visiting golfers, as well as Sky television. Catering is available daily for members and visiting golfers, but only by prior arrangement on Mondays.
