Borth Golf Club

Golf Club

Established in 1885 Borth and Ynyslas has a strong claim to be the oldest course in Wales.

Set on the estuary of the River Dovey in the sweep of Cardigan Bay, the stunning views may distract you from the golf, but not for long.

This Championship course offers traditional links golf as it should be played. Harry Colt's input on the design of the course shortly after 1945 ensures that the rolling humps and hollows provide variation, strategically placed bunkers and the inevitable 'Borth Breeze' ensure that shots have to be struck accurately to challenge par.

Adjoining Borth beach, the course follows the traditional 'out and back' design. The turn nestles in the shelter of the dunes at Ynyslas.

Our newly extended clubhouse offers full catering and bar facilities, where a warm welcome is assured. One of the largest golf shops in the area provides an array of the latest equipment, and the PGA club pro John Lewis is always on hand to offer advice or a lesson.
