This is Bluestone country, from where the stones used at Stonehenge came, at the eastern end of the Preseli Hills above the village of Mynachlog-ddu. With an altitude of 365 metres Carn Gyfrwy can't be described as a mountain, but from here there are wide ranging views over the southern and northern coasts of Pembrokeshire, and east into the uplands of Carmarthenshire.
