The wooden shed above the Boathouse at Laugharne was built by a previous owner of the house as a garage for his car in the 1920s. Perched on two cast iron columns at a rather dizzying height above the beach, it looks precarious. When he bought the Boathouse in 1949, Dylan Thomas decided to use it as his office, and he found it a very inspiring place to work.
