This neolithic burial chamber is on the headland north of Porth Trecastell beach, near Rhosneigr on the Isle of Anglesey. This cruciform passage grave has many decorated rocks. The mound has been capped with concrete and, to prevent damage most of the monument is behind a locked gate. A key, available at weekends and bank holidays from April to October, can be obtained from the shop in Llanfaelog. The name, Barclodiad y Gawres, is Welsh for 'apronful of the giantess'.
