Opened in October 2006, the Celtic Gateway footbridge is a dramatic structure linking the centre of the town of Holyhead with the inner harbour ferry terminal and railway station. Although the port and town centre are geographically close together, before the bridge was was built pedestrian access between the two was inconvenient. This futuristic stainless steel structure was fabricated in Italy by Cimolai.
