The busy ferry port at Holyhead, Anglesey, has two loading jetties for ferries. This picture shows the inner harbour, with the huge catamaran ferry 'Stena Explorer' berthed. This ferry is likely to be replaced on the route to Dun Laoghaire in 2010 by a more conventional, smaller catamaran ferry, the Stena Express, which uses significantly less fuel. Update July 2013 - Stena now only use conventional ferries 'Adventurer' and 'Nordica', taking 3 hours 15 mins, on this route.
