This path near the Carmarthenshire village of Myddfai leads to the Mynydd Myddfai, an elevated expanse of moorland which incorporates the Usk Reservoir, and joins with the dramatic ridge of the Carmarthen Fans which mark the western extremity of the Brecon Beacons.
