A footpath leads down from the quarry from which the rock for Caban Coch's impressive dam was excavated, to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre, where there is a cafe and information about the history of the valley and its system of dams and reservoirs which were built to provide Birmingham with a reliable water supply.
