The lower section of one of the two windows in the south aisle of Penallt Old Church appears to have been modified - perhaps the Probert family supported the church - with a crest and the wording "Of your charity pray for the souls of the family of Probert of Trelech and Penallt". Trelech (sic) is a neighbouring village, now spelt 'Trelleck', or 'Trellech'.
