The lighthouse at Strumble Head, near Fishguard in Pembrokeshire, forms a link with the South Bishop light 18 miles to the south west to protect shipping between Ireland and Fishguard. Its 17 metre tower stands 45 metres above sea level, and its 1 million candlepower light can be seen from up to 26 nautical miles away.
