Pont King Morgan, Carmarthen's cable-stayed footbridge across the Afon Tywi [or River Towy] opened in 2006. This bridge makes the railway station easily accessible on foot from the town centre. It was designed by structural engineers Gifford and built by Mowlem at a cost of £2.8 million.
