The Blaenavon Ironworks in south east Wales is a monument to the early part of the industrial revolution. Opened in 1789, this multi furnace ironworks used the then cutting-edge technology of steam power to provide the blast. Stack Square is a row of houses on the site of the ironworks where some of the foundry workers and their families lived.
