Pentre Bach Bunkhouse

We are ideally situated whether you wish to get out in the Snowdonia Mountains, walking, mine exploration, rock climbing. kayaking along our stunning coastline or taking a more leisurely approach visiting the many historic sites of Caernarfon and Anglesey. Our local pub is only a 10 minute walk away which is an award winning micro brewery with great food also. We love having dogs coming to stay at no extra charge but please keep under control and clean up after them. Also please tell us you are bringing them. Cost per night from £13 per person if sharing or £200 sole use.

We have a small camp site as well which works well if you have a bigger group. There is a communal fire pit, just bring your own wood.

The accommodation

The bunkhouse is split over two floors. Ground floor has a cooking area with 2 gas hobs. microwave. fridge and freezer, seating and dining area. Pots .pans,cutlery and crockery all provided.

Second floor is the sleeping area and can accommodate 16 on mattresses on five sleeping platforms 2(5) 1(4) and 2(1). Linen and pillows/cases are provided just bring sleeping bags although you can hire them for £2 per bag per stay.

Toilets /washing facilities. showers and a drying room are provided in separate blocks across the yard.

The location

We are situated well off the road by a 200 metre drive. The bunkhouse is at the back of the main house. We are on the A4085 Caernarfon to Beddgelert road. or OS Explorer 17 531579 . Caernarfon is 5 miles away. Beddgelert 9 miles. Snowdon Ranger and Rhyd Ddu paths are 5 miles.

Llanberis is approx. 20 drive where the electric mountain and Llyn Padarn are situated

Welsh Highland railway runs by the bunkhouse at a distance. You can get on at Waunfawr station at the Snowdonia Parc Pub(10 minute walk)

From Caernarfon Pentre Bach is to be found between Waunfawr and Betws Garmon. Come through Waunfawr past the pub then after two bends on the straight on the right you will see our Sign Pentre Bach Bunkhouse.

From Betws y Coed Take the A4086 then A498 to Beddgelert . Follow the A4085 towards Caernarfon.

Pass through Rhyd Ddu (and Betws Garmon(5miles). The village is split so continue pas the village church over the bridge and past a row of cottages on right Pentre Bach is then on the left .

There is plenty of parking in front of the bunkhouse and extra in the camping car park.
