The accommodation
The spacious open plan accommodation is accessed through patio doors. The lounge area has two large leather settees (one of which which converts to a double sofa bed). There is a wall-mounted flat screen television with freeview and a cosy 'pebble effect' modern electric fire. Wifi also available. Fully central heated.
The dining area has a table which seats six.
A modern cream high gloss fitted kitchen comprises a gas/ electric cooker, fridge, washing machine, microwave as well as a full range of crockery and kitchen utensils
The bathroom in modern and has a bath with over head shower.
Outside there is a picnic bench where you can sit and watch the birds feeding. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
The location
The Firs is surrounded by beautiful woodland with numerous walks and cycle paths. It is less than half a mile from the historic village of Trellech which has a pub and shop.
The busy market town of Monmouth is 4 miles away where you will find quaint bespoke shops and cosy cafes, or if you are feeling more energetic you can hire a canoe or kayak. Tintern is 4 miles away where you have the famous Tintern Abbey, plenty of places to dine or just sit and have an ice cream watching the world go by. Chepstow, Caldicot and Raglan have fabulous castles to explore. Chepstow also has a racecourse. Symonds Yat which is also close by offers fantastic scenery, river cruises, kayaking, canoeing, a hedge maze and butterfly farm.
The Forest of Dean is a short drive away.
Cardiff, Bristol, Hereford and Abergavenny are all within easy reach.
