Impressive barn conversion accommodating 2 persons, set in beautiful tranquil countryside and offering the perfect holiday retreat. Ideally situated for exploring the Brecon Beacons area. There are a vast choice of walks from the doorstep to all the main peaks with the added bonus of not having to use the car each day.

It is also the perfect base for mountain biking and horse riding, and is centrally located for sightseeing. The Brecon Beacons has recently been awarded Dark Sky reserve status and from here you can enjoy wonderful starlit skies.

The accommodation

Thoughtfully restored to a high standard, offering modern comforts yet retaining original features and charm. The Barn is furnished with style with great attention being paid to small detail.

The well equipped oak fitted kitchen has an electric cooker/grill and ceramic hob, fridge freezer with fitted wine rack, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee maker, toaster and kettle. Good quality saucepans, Welsh Portmeirion ceramics and an extensive range of oven, table, glassware, cutlery and utensils are all provided in fact everything you need for a stress free break.

The light and spacious sitting room has a feature wall with Laura Ashley wallpaper and co-ordinating fabrics. A picture window and stunning far reaching views. Oak flooring and beams and a large Afghan rug. There is a comfortable sofa and reclining chair. Electric real flame fire. Sky TV with basic channels, video and dvd player, hifi and radio. There's also a dining area with table, chairs and dresser.

Upstairs to a bedroom with a luxurious king sized bed with an excellent quality mattress ensuring you of a comfortable 5* night's sleep. A fitted wardrobe and antique pine furniture. Black out velux blinds. Good quality bed linen. Sky TV.

The fully tiled shower room has a rectangular anti-slip double shower cubicle with a sliding door, a wash station with black ceramic top over fitted base units, toilet, shaver socket, extractor fan and radiator.

Outside the back door is a sheltered, private, stone slabbed patio area with pretty flowers, shrubs and garden seating making it the perfect setting for summer barbecues with fabulous views across the wildflower meadow and overlooking the wildlife pond already home to wild geese and ducks. A garden shed housing a tumble dryer, re-cycling bins and a barbecue. There is also a separate children's play area with outdoor toys.

There is ample off-road private parking with an adjoining patio and seating area which makes a wonderful viewing point, a small mountain stream and a bird feeding station with attracts several woodpeckers and a variety of other birds.

Situated 4 miles outside the market town of Brecon on a working farm. Close to the Brecon Beacons so if you like walking there is no need to use the car with all the main peaks within walking distance of the property.
