Perfect location as a base for exploring the beautiful countryside and enjoying the many exciting outdoor activities in the area. Brecon area has an abundance of lovely places to eat out to make your holiday stress free.

Short breaks available all year. Weekly lets start Friday or Monday. Long lets available for those working in the area.

Family owned and personally supervised on a working farm.

The accommodation

MEADOW VIEW

5 bedroom oak beamed farmhouse sleeps up to 10 persons. Suits large groups of family and friends.

BLUEBELL

Two self contained apartments sleeping 2 -4 persons each. Bluebell Loft first floor apartment. Bluebell Lodge ground floor apartment, suitable for the less mobile.

All have an abundance of oak beams, original features and central heating, and are very well equipped with all mod cons. Comfortable beds. Plenty of private parking.

Sorry our cottages are not suitable for pets. (Hearing and blind dogs allowed). We are very flexible with arrival days so please enquire. Short breaks are our speciality so please ask for the start day you really want. Our aim is to please and suit your requirements.

We are only a mile from the market town of Brecon in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park where a host of wildlife can be found, perfect for nature lovers with rabbits, badgers and foxes in abundance and hares playing in the fields. Bird-watchers can enjoy the many species of bird which can be found in this thriving area, including pheasant, red kite, buzzards.

An ideal location for families attending weddings in the area at venues including Brynich Barn and Peterstone Court, Penpont House, Castle Hotel, Usk and Railway Sennybridge, all within 5 to 10 minutes drive.

Builth Wells only 20 minutes drive, home of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show.

For walking and outdoor activity holidays, bikes can be hired and delivered to house.

Nearby towns

Brecon 1 mile, farmers' produce market every second Saturday in the month.

Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show only half an hour's drive away. Vacancies for 2016.

Abergavenny, Hay-on-Wye, Llandovery, all market towns and Merthyr Tydfil with its viaduct. All within half an hour's drive.

Cardiff, capital of Wales with its beautiful castle and large shopping centre is only a 40 minute drive over the Beacons.

Seaside is within an hour's drive.

Local attractions

The market town of Brecon is only a mile away. You can reach this by walking with the beautiful River Usk enjoying the wildlife along the way. The river runs alongside the farm (fishing on this requires a licence from Brecon fishing).

Brecon Golf club just a mile away and Another golf club nearby is Cradoc, an 18 hole course and driving range (10 minutes drive).

There are many outdoor activities within a short drive away including horse riding, rope and wall climbing, canoeing on the rivers Usk and Wye or Llangorse Lake, swimming, walking the hills and mountains, cycling bring your own bike or hire one from town.

Childrens' activities include open farms, the Brecon Mountain railway, Dan yr Ogof show caves with its dinosaurs. Oakwood leisure park.

There are numerous farm shops one only up the road Penpont Gardens. The farmers market is in Brecon usually on the second Saturday of the month other days include craft markets and food tasting.

Places to eat out

Many pubs in Brecon including The Drovers which is just over 1 mile walk away on the walk with the river in to Brecon. The White House is a country pub on the way to Sennybridge, a small village about 10 minutes' drive away. There are also Chinese and Indian restaurants, pizza take-aways, and a good fish and chip shop. For afters there is one of the best ice cream parlours in Wales with all ice cream made on site made with local fresh fruit.

Also available at this location Meadow View is a large 16th Century farmhouse with wood burning stove in the lounge in the old stone fireplace to enjoy those cosy nights in after a day out exploring the local exciting outdoor activities. And a large lawn for the summer nights. Five bedrooms (1 en-suite) sleeping up to 10, suitable for families with young children and babies.
