Penywaun House
This restored farmhouse is in an idyllic setting, four miles from the market town of Llandovery. An ideal base to explore Mid and West Wales. It is perfectly located to access miles of Crychan Forest walking and cycling.
The kitchen-diner has a well equipped new kitchen area with an electric oven, microwave, slow cooker, steamer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine. There is comfortable seating for nine people around the long dining table, and a hifi with DAB radio. There is a candlelit semi-circular stone fireplace with bread oven and chimenea. Asda provide home delivery.
The sitting room is warm and comfortable with green and brown leather sofas, and a stone fireplace with an attractive array of candles in a cast iron chimenea. The flat screen tv has free view and DVD and CD players. There is a also a door to the downstairs shower room and wc. The downstairs bedroom also has access to the shower-room but can be securely locked off when necessary. Travel cot and high chair are available.
Bedroom 1, on the ground floor, has a double bed and an en-suite shower room. It is suitable for visitors with walking difficulties.

The family bathroom with a bath with a shower over, basin and wc, bedroom 2 which has a double bed, bedroom 3 which has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, basin and wc, and bedroom 4 which has two 2'6" beds and bedroom 5, a single.
The entrance to the property has double gates to ample parking at the front and side and a large enclosed garden. There is a patio at the rear with garden furniture and a barbecue.
Penywaun House is at the western edge of the Brecon Beacon National Park in Carmarthenshire, and has breathtaking views. This is a great location for walking and mountain biking along the many miles of Crychan Forest Trail. Riding and pony trekking are also available in the area. From here it is easy to reach both the south and west Wales coasts. Many beaches are around an hour away. Nearby are the National Botanic Gardens, Llyn Brianne reservoir, Aberglasney Gardens, Dinefwr Park and Carreg Cennen Castle.
Llandovery is four miles away. This small market town has a post office, railway station, taxi, supermarket, launderette, takeways, several good shops and pubs. In 2006, Prince Charles made his home in Wales a few mile outside the town. Other interesting towns nearby include Llandeilo (approximately 20 minutes), Brecon (30 minutes) and Lampeter (40 minutes). Driving times are: Bristol 2 hours, Birmingham 3 hours, Manchester 4 hours, London 4 hours.
