The sitting room is warm and comfortable with green and brown leather sofas, and a stone fireplace with an attractive array of candles in a cast iron chimenea. The flat screen tv has free view and DVD and CD players. There is a also a door to the downstairs shower room and wc. The downstairs bedroom also has access to the shower-room but can be securely locked off when necessary.  Travel cot and high chair are available.

Penywaun House is at the western edge of the Brecon Beacon National Park in Carmarthenshire, and has breathtaking views. This is a great location for walking and mountain biking along the many miles of Crychan Forest Trail. Riding and pony trekking are also available in the area. From here it is easy to reach both the south and west Wales coasts. Many beaches are around an hour away. Nearby are the National Botanic Gardens, Llyn Brianne reservoir, Aberglasney Gardens, Dinefwr Park and Carreg Cennen Castle.

Llandovery is four miles away. This small market town has a post office, railway station, taxi, supermarket, launderette, takeways, several good shops and pubs. In 2006, Prince Charles made his home in Wales a few mile outside the town.  Other interesting towns nearby include Llandeilo (approximately 20 minutes), Brecon (30 minutes) and Lampeter (40 minutes). Driving times are: Bristol 2 hours, Birmingham 3 hours, Manchester 4 hours, London 4 hours.
