Great for breaks, our area has superb scenery and is steeped in history. Close to Merthyr Tydfil, the Brecon Beacons are on our doorstep, ideal for hill walking or cycling cycling. Within easy reach by car are the many attractions of South Wales.

Open daily for all tourist information and maps 8:00am - 11:00am and 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

The reception area is located within the owners residence (15 metres from chalet), and as the owners live onsite, they are available to assist whenever possible.

Winchfawr Lodge is popular for those seeking breaks in a region of Wales with officially recognised scenery and is steeped in history. Close to Merthyr Tydfil (the largest ironworks town in the world at the turn of the century), which has lots of historic places to visit.

The Cardiff to Brecon Taff Trail is only 10 minues away with the Brecon Mountain Railway only 15 minutes away. For those looking for scenic trails or hill walking or even cycling this is your ideal place, with trails available to suit all levels of hiking or cycling.
