Gower View Penthouse

The duplex penthouse is set in the award winning Millennium Coastal Park in Llanelli, 22km of beautifully restored coastline that provides breathtaking views of the Gower Peninsula, traffic-free cycle paths and exhilarating walks. The stunning sunsets viewed from the apartment are to die for. We feel completely relaxed from the moment we arrive. There is a wide choice of child friendly beaches and excellent restaurants. It is a wildlife haven and provides a wide range of activities, places to visit and sports. It is easily accessed from the M4.

Stay for a week and play golf on the famous courses of Ashburnham, Machynys and Pennard as well. We are just 5 minutes drive from the Jack Nicklaus Championship golf course at Machynys Peninsular Golf and Country Club, 13 minutes from Ashburnham and 40 minutes from Pennard. There are 15 more golf courses within a 30 mile radius.

The accommodation

The penthouse has a light and spacious open plan kitchen/living area with full-length glass balconies on both sides. There are separate areas for dining and sitting both tastefully furnished. There is a Smart Panasonic LCD TV with freeview, home cinema sound system, dvd player, radio with CD player, board games. The kitchen has electric oven, hob with cooker hood over, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, toaster, kettle. Coffee, tea, sugar,washing-up liquid, washing powder and conditioner, dishwater tablets, kitchen towel, tea towels and dish clothes are all provided. A highchair is available for the use of small children.

There are porcelain tiles with under floor heating throughout the penthouse - warm and cosy for winter, beautifully cool for summer.

Master bedroom - king size bed, walk-in wardrobe, balcony overlooking the sea, radiator, en suite with spacious power shower, basin, wc, wall heater, heated towel rail, TV with freeview and a Playstation 3

Family bathroom with bath/shower over, wc, basin wall heater, heated towel rail. Both bathrooms have toilet rolls, hand wash, shower gel and bath foam.

The penthouse is accessed from the third floor of the building, there is no lift.

There is a communal lawned area outside the penthouse and the sandy beach is just 40m away. It shelves very gently so paddling is safe and there is plenty of room for children to play. There is an area protected by a purpose built wall for swimming at high tide.

There is one designated parking space and further visitor parking. Bike storage sheds are available on site.

The location

A visitor centre is situated 4 minutes walk from the penthouse and the staff are very helpful.

As well as the beach on the doorstep, the 7 mile long blue flag beach, Cefn Sidan Sands, at Pembrey Country Park is 20 minutes drive away.

Eating out

There is a cafeteria in the visitor centre, a few minutes walk from the apartment, and a wide choice of restaurants in Llanelli for all budgets and tastes. Details of these can be found in the folder in the apartment.

Our area

It is a 30 to 40 minute drive to the beautiful beaches of the Gower, which include Rhossili, Mewslade Bay, Oxwich Bay, Three Cliffs Bay, Caswell Bay (our favourite) Port Eynon and Langland Bay.

Places to visit include: Sandy Water Park, National Wildlife and Wetlands Centre, National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Kidwelly Castle, Clyne Gardens, Aberglasney, Dylan Thomas Boathouse at Laugherne, National Trust properties, Dinefwr, Colby Gardens and the Dolaucothi Goldmines, Folly Farm, Oaklands Theme Park.

Rental includes all linen, towels, beach towels, electricity and water costs and cleaning at the end of the week. Bookings are made by contacting owner by phone or . A 20% non-refundable deposit is payable at time of booking, and the balance is due 4 weeks before date of booking. Bookings are preferred on weekly terms but shorter stays can be booked if they are within 2 weeks of the required date. Offers are considered for bookings made within 2 weeks of required date. Preferred change over day is Saturday, departure by 10am, arrival not before 3pm please.
