Y Fedw

Set in its own 60 acres of Snowdonia hillside accessed from a country lane off the Bala to Dolgellau road, Fedw is a spacious farmhouse offering total tranquility. Within the Snowdonia National Park, it has magnificent views over Bala Lake.

Your Welsh-speaking hosts offer a choice of two rooms: a double with kingsize bed and own bathroom, with lovely lake views. Also a twin bedroom with own power shower/bathroom. Each bedroom has a beverage tray with little extras.

Breakfast served in the farmhouse kitchen, using local produce whenever possible.

Just a mile from Bala, Fedw is the ideal base for all types of outdoor activities, and there are plenty of lovely walks on the farm and surrounding mountain ranges.

The narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway runs along the lake shores, where there are many water sports to choose from. Canolfan Tryweryn White Water Rafting centre is a thrilling ride and only 5 minutes away. Bicycles may be hired locally and Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Centre is only a 30 minute drive. Bala Golf Club is nearby. There are many opportunities for angling in the lake itself and the River Dee. Ten Pin Bowling and a High Rope Course nearby.

We have ample parking space for guests and outside buildings for cycle or canoe storage.
