Erw Fair is a four bedroomed bungalow with a large garden, patio area and fishpond situated in the quiet and relaxing village of Abbeycwmhir. The accommodation comprises one twin bedroom and one double bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities, television, clock/radio and private bathroom. Evening meal available on request.
Local Area
The village itself has a public house (within easy walking distance), shop, post office, church and ruins of a Cistercian Abbey which lies on the banks of the Clywedog brook amidst magnificent scenery in the Centre of Powys where it is believed the headless body of Prince Llewellyn (the last native prince of Wales) is buried. Abbey Cwmhir Hall, a Victorian mansion and its gardens, is now a local attraction and open to the public. Many local attractions are within easy reach including The Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells, Elan Valley Dams, Rhayader and the Victorian Spa Town Llandrindod Wells.
Abbeycwmhir is an ideal base to explore the rest of mid Wales and is within easy travel distance for a taste of some of the exciting flavours of the area including: Rhayader (Red Kite Feeding Station and Welsh Royal Crystal workshops and the Elan valley), Builth Wells (The Royal Welsh showgrounds venue to year-round events and another historical Spa town), Llandrindod Wells (victorian fetsival and spa town), Brecon (Home of the annual August Jazz Festival, Brecon Cathedral, Brecon Castle, Brecon to Monmouth Canal and gateway to the Brecon Breacons National Park), Llanwrtyd Wells (Cambrian Woolen Mill, Welsh tweed in the making), Knighton (The Offas Dyke Centre).
