The multi-award winning park is set in stunning scenery of the beautiful Dee Valley. The new heated amenity building and multi-serviced deluxe touring pitches complement the park's already excellent on-site facilities, and others include luxury heated indoor swimming pool, golf course, children's adventure playground, large craft and retail centre, restaurant, coffee shop, and even a real ale Brewery!
The Plassey Leisure Park's superb amenities cater for all:- from families looking for a weekend break, to couples wishing to relax and take in all the beautiful countryside surroundings.
Park facilities include a superb amenity building with individual washroom cubicles, showers, toilets and dishwashing area. With its special provision for babies and the disabled, it is an ideal supplement to the already excellent on-site facilities. Other park improvements include the Deluxe touring pitches with their own electric, lighting, water and waste water services.
The park has a well stocked general store for everyday needs and for the children there is a play area, table-tennis, badminton and and indoor, heated swimming pool.
Free fishing in the farm pools is allowed for patrons of the Caravan Park and there are also many delightful walks along the countryside footpaths.
The Plassey Leisure Park is perfectly placed as a centre for visiting nearby places of interest such as the historic centre of Chester and Shrewsbury or hamlet towns like Oswestry. The Welsh mountains and valleys with their spectacular scenery are also on your doorstep.
Craft Centre
Adjoining The Plassey Leisure Park is The Plassey Craft and Retail Centre with many handmade crafts and boutiques, a Licensed Restaurant serving traditional meals and a Coffee Shop offering light lunches and homemade teas.
The Centre has won various conservation awards for its skillful adaptation from Edwardian farm buildings. The Coffee Shop retains the original horse stalls and brasses, whilst the Licensed Restaurant retains its cattle stalls. The craft units are also housed within brick farm buildings and sell everything from perfume to clothes and even furniture.
Golf Course
The Plassey nine hole golf course (2312 yd, par 32) is set in beautiful undulating parkland, and was opened in 1992.
The course has been designed by Mr Keith Williams, a coach to the world famous local golfer Mr Ian Woosnam and it is now affiliated to both the Denbighshire and Welsh Golfing Union.
The Hay Bank Inn, which is part of the course complex, provides an excellent food menu as well as serving Plassey Bitter (this is brewed on the premises of the Leisure Park).
The Plassey Golf Course is open for membership, pay and play as well as Golf Societies and Corporate Groups.
