Five minutes' walk from the park is Clarach Bay, a safe sandy beach where you can relax in the sun, or maybe even have a paddle if it's warm enough. Not to be missed is the market at Clarach Bay every sunday from Easter until the end of July.

We're not far from town

A walk along the clifftop path takes you to the university town of Aberystwyth. It's a thriving place with a good range of shops, a great promenade with pier and amusements, a marina where, at the right time of day, you can buy freshly landed fish, and plenty of pubs, cafes, restaurants. You'll also find a couple of supermarkets here and even - a rarity in this part of Wales - a Macdonalds.
