Upper Grippath Cottage cottages are situated 5 miles from the M4 motorway - the corridor to South and West Wales. Newport and Cardiff are within 15 minutes drive.
Accommodation
Hafryn has been completely refurbished and is now a two bedroom cottage , comprises of two twin bedrooms, a lounge/dining area complete with colour TV and video, CD radio and broadband connection The lounge has a dining area with seating for four adults. A travel cot and child "put you up" bed are also available on request, as high chair. There is a well equipped kitchen with full size cooker/grill, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and fridge with freeze compartment and washer dryer. The bath room has bath with electric shower over, WC, hand basin and shaver point/light. Additional toilet upstairs.
Our other Two bedroom cottages are fitted out to the same high standards with two twin rooms bathroom and either additional shower room or toilet depending on which cottage you choose.
All linen is provided as are towels for shower/bathrooms rooms. All heating and electricity costs are included but breakages must be paid for.
We offer a laundry/ironing service if required for a fee or ironing board and iron are available for own use as is use of washing machine and tumble dryer as well as outside washing line.

Children Welcome!
We have 40 acres of farm with the Sheep and pigs in residence there is an opportunity for the children and adults to get back to nature!
Groceries can be purchased on your behalf prior to arrival if required. We also supply our own free range eggs and pork as well as sausages etc for you to purchase.
Local Area
We are situated on the side of a small mountain which offers the walker lots of opportunities to either stroll around the farm and local area, or for the more adventurous, as a base to embark on many walks.
Cyclists are also well catered for. We are at a junction between two major cycle routes following the network of canals in the area and the Shirhowy Valley. Also access to the Cwmcarn mountain bike trial and downhill course.
Nearby castles include Chepstow, Raglan, Cardiff, Caldicot, Penhow, Caerphilly and many more.
Fishing and horse riding can also be arranged in the area.
5 Minutes down the road is a Leisure Centre offering swimming, tennis, badminton etc.

Although we are self catering, we have a list of pubs, resturants and take aways in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.
