Ffinnant Uchaf is set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The peaceful countryside location makes it the perfect place for a relaxing break. There are also plenty of activities within close proximity for you to enjoy an adventurous holiday.

The cottage sleeps up to 6, although couples, families and groups are most welcome. The cottage is not too big for two people wanting a rural retreat to getaway from work pressures or just a simple hassle free break. We are fully flexible to suit your needs for last minute decisions.

The main road links of the A40/A470 are within easy reach of the cottage and fortunately no buzz of traffic can be heard from the cottage.

Exceptionally attractive and comfortable cottage which has retained its warmth and character, it has been tastefully furnished, blending original features with modern comforts.

Downstairs, there is a spacious kitchen/diner and a lovely relaxing lounge. Kitchen very well equipped, with Worcester Herbs china, with a large inglenook original fireplace with brass and copper accessories. Large electric wood burner effect stove. Electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave etc.

The lounge is a comforting space with complimenting, calm decor. Original beams exposed, electric wood burner for additional heat. The cottage is modern yet retains it's traditional features. Take a look at the pics section.

With two double bedrooms and a twin, you can fight for rooms, you can look at the views from all the bedrooms! Not a street light in sight, no neighbours, just you and the cottage to recharge the batteries.

Bathroom, with power shower over bath and wash basin. Separate restroom with toilet and sink. There is also a sink in one of the double bedrooms. Cot and highchair provided.

All bed linen, heating and electricity are included.

Excellent patio area outside front door to bird watch, absorb the views and enjoy the peace and quiet. Enclosed garden for your pet to come along too.

Follow the river Usk down through its gorgeous Valley and visit Crickhowell, Abergavenny, Town of Usk, Cowbridge for some lovely shopping and beautiful scenery.

Follow the River Wye, go Climbing in the Rope Centre at Llangorse, or go canoeing down the river. Get kitted out in some cracking outdoor clothing stores in Hay on Wye (the infamous town of books) and enjoy an afternoon on the river.

Cardiff is only 55 minutes away from cottage. See the castles of Wales on your way to the capital city of the principality.

Llangors Lake provides the opportunity go sailing or wind surfing. It is the largest natural lake in South Wales. Also a rope climbing centre is adjacent to the lake so there is something for everyone.

There are two open farms also in the area where you can buy local produce, let children play in the Play barns, feed animals and see how a Welsh farm is run.

There are three pony trekking options for you to explore the Brecon Beacons/Black Mountains on horseback to fully appreciate the scenery. Horse riding lessons available close to the cottage too, ideal for children.

For those looking for some home grown country food, there is an organic farm close by, where you can wander through the grounds of Penpont Country house whilst picking up home grown produce and making contributions to the honesty for those adventurous people, you can also go grassboarding here too.

Undoubtedly worth a visit.
